Compensation: £32,000–£35,000 depending on experience
Job type: This is a full-time (40 hours per week) freelance/self-employed consultancy position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for their own taxes and statutory obligations.

Olive Ridley Project (ORP) is is dedicated to protecting sea turtles and their habitats through rescue and conservation medicine, scientific research, and educational outreach. From treating injured and sick sea turtles to advancing research and awareness of sea turtle populations, health, and ocean threats, our work is guided by a One Health approach that recognises the interconnectedness of wildlife, people, and the marine environment.

About the Corporate Partnership Officer role

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Corporate Partnership Officer to lead and grow our corporate partnerships programme. This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop a vital income stream within Olive Ridley Project and play a direct role in protecting sea turtles and the marine ecosystems they depend on.

You will will take ownership of the full partnership lifecycle – from prospecting and pitching to stewardship and reporting – building meaningful, long-term relationships with corporate supporters.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with a practical, entrepreneurial approach, and who is motivated by the opportunity to make a tangible difference. With a strong focus on new business development alongside growing existing partnerships, you will help strengthen our financial sustainability and enable more ambitious conservation work around the world.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the corporate partnerships strategy, aligned with the organisational priorities and long-term growth ambitions of Olive Ridley Project.
  • Identify, research, and cultivate prospective corporate partners across priority sectors, building and maintaining a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Secure new corporate partnerships through proactive outreach, networking, and tailored proposals.
  • Represent the organisation at corporate events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings to build visibility and engagement.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements that align with our values, ethical standards, and conservation goals.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate partners, delivering excellent stewardship to maximise retention, engagement, and long-term support.
  • Develop meaningful partnerships that connect businesses with measurable conservation impact, including employee engagement and fundraising initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with programme, communications, and fundraising colleagues to create compelling partnership opportunities and translate programme needs into corporate propositions.
  • Coordinate impact reporting and communications to ensure partners feel connected to the outcomes of their support.
  • Maintain accurate records and performance tracking within CRM systems, ensuring strong pipeline management and reporting.

What we are looking for

Essentials

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate motivations, ESG, and sustainability and will bring the following experience, qualifications, and skills:

  • Proven experience in corporate fundraising, partnerships, or business development.
  • A strong track record of securing and managing corporate income.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Confidence presenting to and negotiating with senior corporate stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities in a standalone role.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience managing pipelines and using CRM systems.
  • A collaborative and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Assets

  • Experience in conservation, environmental, or international development sectors.
  • Understanding of cause-related marketing and strategic partnerships.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of corporate partnership and social impact trends.
