
Sahya Haria is an environmental biologist, conservationist and communications specialist. Over the past five years, she has worked with the UN Environment Programme, specializing in communications, social media and advocacy related to the triple planetary crises: the climate crisis; the biodiversity & nature loss crisis; and the pollution, waste & chemical crisis. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Biology from the University of Nottingham, UK, and is deeply passionate about sustainable tourism, ecosystem & wildlife conservation and photography. Sahya is also a keen scuba diver and loves to witness the marine life, especially sea turtles and corals underwater, and of course one of her favourite places to dive is in Diani.
Sahya has co-authored a research paper on Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins in the coastal waters of Palm Beach County, Florida, which was published in the Aquatic Mammals Journal. She is excited to bring her expertise and passion for conservation to the board, contributing to the ORP – Kenya’s mission and impact.
