Administrator and Volunteer Coordinator
Aishath Enash (Nash), grew up in Villimalé, Maldives, where her deep love for the ocean and marine life was nurtured by her father, a boat captain, marine enthusiast, and diver.
Other ocean and environmental enthusiasts in her family too encouraged her passion for the environment. Nash’s interest in conservation grew through her active involvement in extracurricular activities in school, especially after a life-changing trip to Baa Atoll in 2016 for the Girl Guide Environment Camp. During this trip, she snorkelled for the first time and fell in love with the ocean, strengthening her decision to pursue a career in environmental conservation.
Nash then pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management from the Maldives National University. During her studies, she interned at the Small Island Geographic Society (SIGS). She also worked at the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment, and Energy, monitoring water and sewerage systems across the Maldives and engaging in sector-related awareness initiatives. Her growing passion for marine conservation led her to seek direct involvement in the field.
Nash joined ORP as an Administrator and Volunteer Coordinator in October 2024, where she coordinates volunteer activities for the organisation, while also contributing actively to marine conservation efforts.
