Treasurer, ORP – Maldives
With over a decade of experience in Maldivian civil society, Aimon is a passionate environmentalist and human rights advocate.
Growing up surrounded by the ocean, he developed a deep appreciation for the marine environment. Concerned about the accelerating impacts of human-induced climate change, he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management and actively advocates for stronger governance of fragile ecosystems.
Aimon has collaborated with numerous civil society organisations in the Maldives and has served on the Executive Committees of several. He has also co-authored multiple research publications on environmental and human rights issues in the Maldives.
In 2024, he joined ORP – Maldives as the Treasurer of the Executive Committee.
