Turtle ID Code: HK3822
If you’re ever been on the Turtle Safari excursion in Laamu, chances are you’ve come across Roanna – this juvenile hawksbill is one of the first turtles on Laama Faru Haa that comes up to greet snorkellers and newcomers. Roanna’s got an extremely distinct long scale on their face which makes them easily recognizable – and sometimes we wonder if Roanna is trying to recognize the snorkellers too. Once they’ve welcomed you into the water, Roanna would resume with foraging amongst the corals on top of the shallow reef.
