Turtle ID Code: GR129
Piper is one of our regulars at Kuredu Caves – the famous “turtle airport”. Many divers and snorkelers have had the pleasure to dive and swim with this big female. But there is something special about Piper. She is missing her right back flipper. We are not sure what caused this – it could be a bite from a predator, a hit from a propeller or an entanglement accident. Luckily it doesn’t seem to hinder her and she can often be seen swimming gracefully next to divers.
