Lily

Turtle ID Code: GR313

When Lily was first sighted around Kuredu in 2013, he measured around 65 cm and was thought to be a female. However, recently it has turned out that this estimate was wrong. Since September 2019 it is clear that Lily is definitely a male! His tail had started to grow longer and we had to correct our database accordingly. Many guests wonder why we don’t change the name. On Kuredu, a male member of the boats crew is also called Lily, which is why we don’t see a problem with keeping the name. Lily is also one of our more agile turtles, who switches between sights. He has been spotted at the House Reef, in the lagoon, at Kuredu Caves and even Kuredu Corner.
