Turtle ID: GR326
Kaela is a young agile male. When we first recorded him in 2015, he was still a juvenile. In the past 5 years he has developed into a proud big male. However, sometimes one might think he isn’t fully aware of his size yet. Divers often encounter Kaela, or rather his rear, when they swim past one overhang at Kuredu Caves. Kaela doesn’t really seem to fit into his favourite spot anymore so he has to go in head first, showing us just his back flippers. Sometimes the divers also encounter him swimming past them and they might be able to watch him manoeuvring to get into his little whole. Kaela is a weird one for sure! But we love him even more for that.
