Erin grew up in the UK, where her love for the ocean began during summers spent exploring the English coastline with her family. This early passion for the sea led her to pursue a degree in Marine Biology at the University of Exeter
During her time at university, she gained valuable experience by pursuing different internships across the globe. Erin began her marine career in the Red Sea with The Red Sea Project, supporting sea turtle Photo-ID studies and coral monitoring surveys. Captivated by turtles, she later spent seven weeks in Northern Cyprus with the Society for the Protection of Turtles, where she worked on nest protection and data collection for both green and loggerhead turtles.
After completing her degree in 2024, Erin worked with Atoll Marine Center in Naifaru, Lhaviyani Atoll for six months, helping with sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation, creating and conducting seagrass monitoring projects, and supporting the coral restoration project there.
Along the way, Erin gained her PADI Rescue Diver Certification, becoming a ReefGuru Conservation Diver and developing a love for fish identification.
In September 2025, Erin joined ORP as the Sea Turtle Biologist at One&Only Reethi Rah in North Male Atoll. In her role, she conducts Photo-ID research on the local turtle populations, nesting research on the island, and engages in guest education and community engagement.
