Meet Crush, a Baby Green Turtle
Crush was sent to us by Naifaru Juvenile centre in Lhaviyani atoll. He was being kept as a pet before he was handed over to the Naifaru Juvenile centre.

Whilst in the care of Naifaru Juvenile centre, Crush developed an ear abscess which required surgery.
After his surgery, Crush enjoyed a daily buffet of salad options and some fish supplemented with calcium and vitamins to help him harden up his shell; his shell was very soft from calcium and sunlight deficiency during the time he was kept as a pet.
Crush recovered very well from his surgery, his ear healed and there were no signs of the problem returning. We considered him successfully rehabilitated and released into the ocean on 5th April 2018.
